HSE (Health, Safety and Environmental) Officer

5 Years Minimum experience in the Fabrication Industry

Job Description:

1. Conduct risk assessment and develop preventative measures.
2. Regular inspection of the workplace for unsafe conditions, and unsafe acts and make plans for corrective actions.
3. Stop any unsafe acts or activities that may seem dangerous or unsafe.
4. Record and investigate incidents to determine root causes and assist management with workmen’s compensation claims.
5. Coordinate and assist with third-party inspections, certifications, and training.
6. Prepare updated HSE reports weekly and monthly for management submissions.
7. Provide regular training on staff and workers for safe practices.
8. Establish and develop safety standards and policies to ensure they are followed by all workers.
9. Maintain HSE records for client audits and local regulatory inspections.
10. Inspection of equipment and processes to ensure adherence to safety standards.
11. Ensure compliance with local and international safety regulations and standards.
12. Lead and conduct emergency drills. (fire drills, chemical spill drills)
13. Collaborate with all departments to promote a safety culture.
14. Manage waste disposal, energy-saving initiatives, and environmental compliance in the company.
15. Induct new workers and visitors coming to the site.
16. To comply and act as liaison with all local government bodies and authorities during inspections. ( DCD, DM, Dubai Police)
17. Conduct regular toolbox meetings to inform workers of hazards and best safety practices.
18. Inspect, assist, and prepare PTW during the execution of critical and non-routine works. (Lifting, confined spaces, work at heights, NDT, etc.)
19. Able to produce reports within the specified time as required by the internal and external Auditors.
20. Maintaining first aid supplies throughout the factory.
21. Inspection of labor camp and maintain updated room occupants.
22. Diligently performs other related tasks and reasonable work at the request of management.
